Symbolife t-shirt designs are brought to you by Bristol based designer Esme Walton, with a tongue in cheek feel and a crooked look at society.
Esme is primarily a fashion designer holding her own label ‘Kawaii’, inspired by a love of the extinct subculture and a need to be individual. Kawaii brings back to life old, unwanted and well loved things... transforming them into the unexpected. Using robots, 8o's superhero figures, trolls, your boyfriends favourite t-shirt, your best mates bed sheets, Wuzzels, Sonic, plus the occasional MacDonald’s Happymeal toy. Ever the fan of a good ol' contradiction.
Symbolife approached Esme having seen her fashion illustrations and asked her to come up with 4 T-Shirt designs for their S/S 07 line. Esme’s designs and ideas were so Symbolife we loved them and put them straight into a production!
Esme is currently dealing with an addiction to vintage hawaiin so stay tuned...
