Nina specialises in urban landscapes, having been born and raised in Bristol, her paintings are based around the dramatic architecture of the local area. Bristol's more gothic tenements in areas have been a particular inspiration for her over the past few years.
Nina’s style leans heavily on the impressionist movement, taking influence from the likes of Stephen Wiltshire and Van Gogh, but incorporating a very unique illustrative twist, resulting in powerful, busy city scenes, designed to keep the eye entertained. Her favourite challenge is to take an area of Bristol, not so well known, or not particularly noted for its beauty, and bring it to life. There are so many areas of a city that local residents don't take the time to notice, so to be able to highlight the character and life that is usually ignored is a delight.
